Shelley promotes our 7th Annual Spare the Violence Bowl-a-thon and many aspects of our organization.
We will be holding our 7th Annual “Spare the Violence” Bowl-a-thon on Sunday, April 2, 2017 for Alternative House, other Domestic Violence Programs and various local Charities.
Our Bowl-a-thon will be held at Brunswick Bowling Lanes at 647 Pawtucket Blvd, Lowell, MA from 1:30-4:00pm.
We would like to invite you and 5 of your friends or colleagues to enter a team in our Fundraiser or Sign up alone or with a friend and we will assign you to open teams. It is easy to do and it’s a fun-filled afternoon while raising money for a very worthy cause. Registration is required, and should be mailed to CWOT Shelley Snider, 1 Marguerite Road, N. Chelmsford, MA 01863. Each team is required to pay a registration fee of $60.00 or $10. 00 per person which includes 2 hours of bowling and shoes for each of your 6 bowlers. Click on the Registration form below. Each team member should read the Participants Letter attached below. Teams must be registered by March 24th.
We then ask your team members to solicit a minimum of $50 per bowler or $300 per team of 6 in sponsorships. We prefer to work with flat rate pledges (example $5.00, $10.00, etc.). The day of the event you would then turn in your collected pledges and join the other teams for a fun and relaxing afternoon of bowling and prizes. Click on the Sponsor Form below.
Sign In will be from 1:30-2:00 pm with bowling to begin at 2:00pm. We have lots of door prizes, prizes for the team raising the most in pledges and for the team with the highest series score. Individuals raising over $100.00 in sponsorships will be entered into a drawing for special prizes!

US President Joyce Harpster awarded 6 local members with the Presidential Pin: Anne Dumke, Marcia Allison, Pam Morrison, Irene Masson, Donna Severs and Shelley Snider. Pam Morrison and Anne Dumke received Outstanding Local Officer awards and Chelmsford was recognized for their Domestic Violence Awareness programs.
Massachusetts Women of Today awarded Outstanding Rookie of the Year to Shelley Snider; Outstanding Member of the Year to Irene Masson and Unsung Hero to Marcia Allison. 13 CWOT members received recognition for Sharing the Vision.
Chelmsford awarded Anne Dumke Officer of the Year. Donna Severs and Irene Masson each received Chairperson of the Year.
Congratulations to all members for the accomplishments of the chapter during the 2015-2016 year.
The Chelmsford Women of Today continue to make a difference in your world! CWOT worked throughout the 2015-2016 year supporting your local community and many non-profit organizations in our area. In June CWOT pledged support to Alternative House, Table of Plenty, Lowell Wish Project, My Fathers’ House, Chelmsford Open Space Stewards, Live Smart, the Alzheimer Foundation, L’il Iguana, Chelmsford School Gift Card Program, Operation Delta Dog, the First Parish Unitarian Universalist Benevolent Fund and the Chelmsford Public Garden during their year end meeting. CWOT also supported the Chelmsford Secret Santa Program and our overseas troops during the year.
