We will be holding our 6th Annual “Spare the Violence” Bowl-a-thon on Sunday, April 3, 2016 for Alternative House, other Domestic Violence Programs and various local Charities.

Our Bowl-a-thon will be held at Brunswick Bowling Lanes at 647 Pawtucket Blvd, Lowell, MA from Feedback
12:30-3:00pm. We would like to invite you and 4 of your friends or colleagues to enter a team in our Fundraiser.

It is easy to do and it’s a fun-filled afternoon while raising money for a very worthy cause. Registration is required, and should be mailed to CWOT Kathy Simmons, 4 Hart Road, Chelmsford, MA 01824. Each team is required to pay a registration fee of $50.00 ($10. per person) which includes 2 hours of bowling and shoes for each of your 5 bowlers. A pitcher of soda and a pizza will be provided for each team. Click on the Registration form below. Each team member should read the Participants Letter attached below. Teams must be registered by March 22nd.

We then ask your team members to solicit a minimum of $50 per bowler or $250 per team in sponsorships. We prefer to work with flat rate pledges (example $5.00, $10.00, etc.). The day of the event you would then turn in your collected pledges and join the other teams for a fun and relaxing afternoon of bowling and prizes. Click on the Sponsor Form below.

Sign In will be from 12:30-1:00pm with bowling to begin at 1:00pm. We have lots of door prizes, prizes for the team raising the most in pledges and for the team with the highest series score. Individuals raising over $100.00 in sponsorships will be entered into a drawing for a special prizes!

Chelmsford Women of Today Make a Difference!

The Chelmsford Women of Today Make a Difference in your world! CWOT works throughout the year to support your local community and many non-profit organizations in our area. This year CWOT gave to support to Alternative House, Table of Plenty, Friends of the Library, the Chelmsford Dog Park, Lowell Wish Project, Our Fathers’ House, Catie’s Closet, Chelmsford Open Space Stewards, Live Smart, Birthday Wishes, Special Teams for Exceptional People, the Alzheimer Foundation, L’il Iguana, Chelmsford School Gift Card Program and Friends of the Senior Center. CWOT also supported the Chelmsford Secret Santa Program, Holiday for the Troops, The First Parish Unitarian Universalist Benevolent Fund and All Saint’s during the last year.

Muffins with Santa

Saturday, December 12, the Chelmsford Women of Today will be hosting Muffins with Santa from 9:00AM to 12:00 NOON at the First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church, 2 Westford St. by the Chelmsford center common.  No reservations are need.  Admission price includes an All-You-Can-Eat Continental Breakfast, various holiday craft projects, face painting, temporary tattoos and of course, a special visit with Santa. Cards will be available for children and parents to send notes to the troops for the holidays.  The cost of admission is $4.00 per adult and $3 per child (free for children under 6 months).  Color photos with Santa for $5.00 will be available to take home with you that morning and there will be some terrific raffle prizes.  Your support will help benefit the Chelmsford Secret Santa Program and other community projects. For more information, call Donna at 978-987-1809.

CWOT Raised $1,000 Walking to End Alzheimers

WE WOULD LIKE TO THANK ALL OF OUR SPONSORS.

Sunday, September 20th, The CWOT participated in the Northeast Walk to End Alzheimers starting at 200 Brickstone Square,Andover, MA. The walk is accepting donations until the end of the October at alz.org.
Following an invigorating warm up and an inspirational ceremony Chelmsford Women of Today members walked with family and friends through the streets of Andover choosing either the 1 mile or 3 mile route.

5th Annual Spare the Violence Bowl-a-Thon Update

We held our 5th Annual “Spare the Violence” Bowl-a-thon on Sunday, March 22, 2015 for Alternative House, other Domestic Violence Programs and various local Charities at Brunswick Bowling Lanes at 647 Pawtucket Blvd, Lowell, MA.  This year we had 8 registered teams.

Lots of door prizes, prizes for the team raising the most in pledges and for the team with the highest series score, highest scorer’s, highest pledge raiser’s,and many more we handed out throughout the afternoon along with pizza, soda and snacks.

The Chelmsford Women of Today want to thank  all our bowlers and especially the local businesses that helped sponsor the event: April’s European, Bertucci’s, Brickhouse Pizza, The British Beer Co.,  Chili’s, Chuck E Cheese, Classic Flowers, Crosby’s,  Galleria Day Spa, The Glenview Pub,  Hong & Kong, J.J. Boomer’s, Mahoney’s Garden Center,   McDonalds, The Owl Diner, Princeton Station, The Bowling Zone  and our members.

During a fun evening on Sept 3rd, over appetizers, desserts and summer drinks, CWOT members firmed up their 2015-2016 calendar projects and socials. They planned a year packed with something for everyone: charity work, educational programming, fun and friendship. Every month offers something new: Game Night, Halloween Party for the shelter’s children, Muffins with Santa, gifts for the Troops, Shopping for the Secret Santa Program, Holiday Party, Quilting for Project Linus, Bowl-a-thon to promote Domestic Violence Awareness, Girls’ night out, Food Pantry Drive, Movie Night, and more…

Visit us the third Tuesday of each month, in Room LL06 at the Town Offices at 50 Billerica Road (Check our calendar for exact location).
