Gingerbread House takes Blue Ribbon

Chelmsford Women of Today took the first prize blue ribbon for the gingerbread depiction of their Spare the Violence Bowl-a-thon in the 8th Annual Gingerbread Village sponsored by All Saints Church to benefit Habitat for Humanity. The Gingerbread Bowl-a-thon featuring two teams, The Flakes (Corn and Snow) vs. The Canes (Candy and Sugar) was one of 85 entries this year. The annual event raised several thousand dollars for Habitat for Humanity.

Thank you for your support of Muffins with Santa

The Chelmsford Women of Today hosted Muffins with Santa Dec 14th at the First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church by the Chelmsford center common. Admission ($4.00 per adult and $3 per child over 6 months) included an All-You-Can-Eat Continental Breakfast, various holiday craft projects, temporary tattoos, face painting and a special visit with Santa. Color photos with Santa for $5.00 were available to take home that morning and there were terrific raffle prizes. The event was held to benefit the Chelmsford Secret Santa Program and other community projects. We would like to thank our many sponsors and volunteers: Tufts, Whole Foods, Hannaford, Stop & Shop, Donlan’s, Market Basket, Crosby’s Market, Three Trolls, our photographer – Madeline Grant, our face painter – Sarah Williams, our high school student volunteers and our many local advertisers who purchased space on our placemats.
